LABOR DAY AT TAMBULI

Labor Day this year was spent at Tambuli Beach Club with my family and relatives (hooray for a second beach getaway!). It was a last-minute decision where my mom just sent me a Facebook message about the plan and so I did the groceries for our food at the very last-minute as well. I had a great time that day and so did Zayn! If you can just imagine how excited he was to finally hit the beach again ever since his second birthday!

The first time I went to Tambuli was my gosh, ten years ago so I had this slight excitement to see the resort again. Tambuli Beach Club is located at Buyong, Mactan Island just right ahead Maribago Bluewater Resort. If I remember it right, it was formerly called Cebu Beach Club and the other resort beside it was Tambuli. But now, both reosrts are now owned and managed (I think) by the same person and so the resorts are now called Tambuli Beach Club West Wing and East Wing. We went to the East Wing, the one formerly called Cebu Beach Club.

We arrived at the resort at around 10AM and it was already jam-packed. Good thing my uncle had already reserved us two cottages! Entering the resort was slightly a mess, there were “wrecked” buildings (for the lack of a better term) and withered leaves all over. Maybe they’re still renovating the place, I’m not sure, but I think it’s best if you make sure the entrance of the resort would leave a good impression to the locals and tourists as well. Nevertheless, inside the resort was still a beauty. The pool that day was just too crowded though.

If you’re following me on Instagram (follow me, I’ll follow back! hihi), you may have seen this photo I posted with a caption, Enjoying the “restricted pool”. And those two pool photos above is the “restricted pool” I was talking about. As you can see, no single person was there in the pool. Actually, we went there without knowing it was not allowed to swim there. When the lifeguard saw us, they told us the whole place was for the owner’s use only. Uh-oh. And that the owner’s friends have also reserved the whole place for themselves. This was the West Wing by the way. At least, we were able to have a short dip and take photos! Lol.

It was a great family day and imagine how Zayn was so difficult to convince to get out of the water! We went home by 5PM since that was also the resort’s policies. Swimming pool is open 8AM – 5PM. Anyway, in case you’re wondering, the entrance fee to the resort is P150 on weekdays and P200 on weekends and holidays. No corkage fee since they don’t have a restaurant you can dine in anyway. I was not able to ask the cottage rates since my uncle took care of it. Hehe.

So, that’s how we spent the Labor Day while others were in #LaBoracay! How about you? How did you spend your Labor Day?xo
